Speaking of God……I became a believer in Christ at the age of 14. I knew all the in’s and out’s but didn’t have a true “Relationship” with Him until around 1999.
What happened in 1999? I’m glad you asked. God led me and my family to Grain Valley. We weren’t really involved in church at the time. There we were, in a strange, small town, family who we have lived next door to are now over 30 minutes away (they thought we were moving to the East Coast) and we knew we needed to have our kids in church.
So the search begins. We searched……and we searched and we finally landed at Crossroads in May of 1999. The church was only about one month old. This new-found group welcomed us, showed that they cared, called, visited, and invited us into their homes. It had a significant impact on our lives. It sums up what Crossroads is all about…RELATIONSHIPS…with Christ, His people, and those who need to know him. Through the prayers of a strong, Godly woman, the mentoring of a good friend, the testimonies of some fellow believers and being part of a small group, I realized what I had been missing all those years…that personal relationship.
