What makes her laugh: My children (especially Scot – such a silly boy); my husband (even sillier than Scot); most of Ben Stiller’s movies; and pretty much all of the Yahoo messenger audibles.

What makes her cry: Whenever I see children sing in a program; September 21st; the book The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Anderson; the song He’s My Son by Mark Shultz; and every time I hit my pinkie toe on the bed frame.

In her spare time: What’s that??? I’m too busy taking care of my 2 year old twins and my 7-month old infant! My spare time consists of poopy diapers, fixing bottles, wiping up spit-up, pureeing baby food, going to doctors’ appointments, etc. If I had spare time I guess I would read a good book while lying peacefully in the hammock where the only sound I could hear would be the leaves rustling and the birds singing. Ahhhh.

The college years: Graduated from Central Missouri State University with a BS in Elementary Education with and emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Seeking to get back to college to earn a Master’s, but Mom and Dad are out of money!

In a previous life: I taught for 5 years in an inner-city school in Kansas City. What an eye-opening experience that was! This experience taught me many things, such as, a little bit of Ebonics, how to double-dutch, some dancing moves, and that what children need more than education is the love of Jesus Christ.

What she does @ Crossroads: As children’s pastor, Charlotte oversees all of our children’s ministries from teaching in our Kidz Church to diapering our babies in the nursery and much more in between.

Started on staff @ Crossroads: June of 2004

Started attending Crossroads: June of 2002

What she loves: Her husband Ken, her children Scot, Julena, and Dylan, chocolate, and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

What she hates: Walking barefoot across the garage floor; thick, yellow toenails; most vegetables; and lame excuses

Favorite Movies: The Princess Bride, Aliens, Lord of the Rings (all of them), The Empire Strikes Back, Pillow Talk, Crash, The Family Man, Christmas Vacation, Snake Pit, and The Little Mermaid.
